  1. looks good Calle, making more sounds with it will report anything else i find!

  2. seems like modulating the filter cutoff with velocity is not working or isn't having much effect.... i can modulate the filter cutoff with the mod wheel though...

  3. Well, you might see two issues here. I noticed a problem in the code that might very well screw with velocity as source, AND velocity as source also has a linear response curve, which might not be very good for playing unless you adjust the response curve on your keyboard. I tested making it quadratic instead, and it feels nicer when playing, so I think I'll keep that instead.

For controllers etc I'll keep the lienar response, since it makes sense that you get what you send in...

  4. here is what i was doing... i load in a bright sample and i set the filter on low pass, i dial it down somewhere 1khz and try to open up the filter with velocity as source, even banging on the keys with a 127 value on my midi monitor, i couldn't open the filter... but setting mod wheel as source i could open it all the way up. i'm curious why the maxed velocity value doesn't seem to open it at all.

  5. Stupid question, but what frequency range did you set the modulation to? If the filter is set to 1Khz pre-mod, and lets say you want it at 10Khz at full modulation, you need to set the mod amount to ~9000hz.

  6. ... but obviously you know this, since mod wheel works...

  7. ... and before I seem like totally stupid, you might very well be seeing the effects of a bug, one that would manifest a little different on different machines. So I guess I owe you a new build! :)

  8. yeah, i played with the amount value going positive and negative. all i want to be able to
do is dull the sound by lowering the cutoff freqency and use velocity to raise it up. cant seem to be able to do it. and it seems like velocity doesnt modulate pan or pitch either. i should make you a video clip

  9. No need really. Can you try a pre-release build?
